Cricket fans are set to witness a landmark occasion as England Women take on India Women in a historic one-off Test match at the iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground. The match is even more special as it marks the first-ever women’s Test to be played at the Home of Cricket.

The contest also comes exactly 50 years after Rachael Heyhoe Flint first led the England Women’s team onto the Lord’s field, making this a memorable chapter in the history of women’s cricket.

England vs India Women’s Test Schedule

The England vs India Women’s Test schedule features a four-day red-ball contest that promises exciting cricket between two of the strongest teams in the women’s game.

England vs India Women’s Test Squads

The England vs India Women’s Test squads feature a strong mix of experienced internationals and exciting young talent.

    India Women Squad

Harmanpreet Kaur will captain India, while Smriti Mandhana serves as vice captain. The squad includes Shafali Varma, Jemimah Rodrigues, Deepti Sharma, Richa Ghosh, Yastika Bhatia, Sree Charani, Nandini Sharma, Harleen Deol, Renuka Thakur, Kranti Gaud, Sayali Satghare, Sneh Rana, and Priya Punia.

India suffered a setback before the match after Pratika Rawal was ruled out with a knee injury. Priya Punia has replaced her following an impressive series for India A against England A.

    England Women Squad

England will be led by Nat Sciver-Brunt. Their squad includes Heather Knight, Tamsin Beaumont, Amy Jones, Sophie Ecclestone, Mady Villiers, Emma Lamb, Ellie Threlkeld, Maia Bouchier, Lauren Bell, Issy Wong, Alice Capsey, Lauren Filer, Grace Potts, and Tilly Corteen-Coleman.

England will rely on their experienced players and home conditions as they aim to begin the Test on a winning note.

    Players and Storylines to Watch

One of the biggest talking points will be the captains battle between Harmanpreet Kaur and Nat Sciver-Brunt. Both captains will look to guide their teams smartly in a format that is rarely played.

The bowling battle could also prove decisive. India’s Renuka Thakur will be aiming to make the most of the famous Lord’s slope, while England’s Lauren Bell and Lauren Filer will hope to trouble the Indian batters with pace and movement.

Another important factor is recent Test experience. Neither side plays many red-ball matches, meaning quick adaptation to the Duke ball and changing conditions could determine the outcome.

The England vs India Women’s Test schedule has generated tremendous excitement among cricket fans. With strong England vs India Women’s Test squads, worldwide England vs India Women’s live streaming options, and the prestige of playing at Lord’s, this historic Test promises to be a memorable occasion for women’s cricket.
